The VAFF Film Fund (VAFF²) was founded by VAFF Lifetime Patron Richard K. Wong to assist talented Asian Canadian filmmakers and television producers in creating projects that raise the profile of Asians in Canada. Top selected 5 finalists will have 5 minutes to pitch their story to an adjudication panel and an audience of filmmakers and storytellers at the in-person VAFF FIlm Fund Pitch Competition event on November 8, 2024 during the Vancouver Asian Film Festival.

Congratulations for the Top six finalists: Anne Koizumi, Arnold Lim, Erica Papke and Shimon Machida, Kent Donguines, Soo Min Park, Vivian Cheung.

This year, VAFF FESTIVAL, screening programs in person and virtual will be organized into various series in order to better highlight the diverse content in our festival. These Series include Spotlight Series, Documentary Features Series, Narrative Features Series, Westcoast Shorts Series, Canadian Shorts Series, International Short Series, Animation Series, VAFF Industry Insight Series and Special Events.
