It Takes a Village: An East Van Story – WestCoast Feature Docmentary

It Takes A Village is a documentary about the strong sense of community in East Vancouver. It shares immigrant stories and the role of basketball coaches in helping newcomers. The film shows how mentorship, sports, and cultural exchanges bring people together, making the community more resilient and inclusive.

Christopher Cho is a filmmaker who’s worked on a mix of media, corporate, and narrative projects. He got into filmmaking because he sees stories everywhere, and making videos is his outlet. Lately, he’s done projects for Amazon, Motorola, and more. Right now, he’s working on short films and a documentary.
