The Last Flight

Inspired by a true story, The Last Flight is an Asian-Canadian story about experiencing a medically assisted death within the family. The film offers a look at a caregiver’s emotional journey and commitment involved in supporting a loved one through their last moments and explores the complexity of end-of-life experiences.

Amy Tsai is a first-time director based in Vancouver, who wanted to tell a compelling story about a sensitive but controversial subject. Brian Cheung is a filmmaker/cinematographer based in Vancouver with over a decade of experience. Drawing upon extensive research and Amy’s story, he felt inspired to create this film.
